yucky mastitis

Last Friday was my last day at work and I was feeling awful since Thursday afternoon. I had both first grade classes the last 2 days and it was pure chaos with parties sugar and water slides!

Friday my breast was so warm and red and I felt Yuck I got in to the doctor they looked at me for a minute, took my temp and said Yup it is mastitis!

So boo I was bummed especially since they were like this is not normal we need to see you back. I know I've gotten lots of plugged ducts in  same breast but this is the first mastitis case. I'm going to see a PA on Tuesday instead of the midwife ( she was only one available Fri for last second appointment. ) hopefully antibiotics will continue working and ill get the all clear sign from her next week. Hope I'm ok I've already had to be scared of cancer back in march (I'm fine) but don't want to do that again!

Anyways my darn breast still gets sore very easily and it can be frustrating because I want to exercise and clean and organize especially since he's been sleeping for 3 hours in afternoon, but I just can't!! :(

Oliver is more important anyway the house will be cleaned eventually. Cory helps a ton but I feel so not domestic ( pregnancy now breast issues), however it will come back!! Feeding Oliver those good nutrients and taking care of him is our number 1 priority.

More updates to come on this and the joys of being a stay at home mom! This was such a fun week with him, can you tell I love love love it already??

Oliver's Routine Update

SO Oliver is constantly on the change.  He is always doing something new everyday! We keep a little notebook and write one thing down a day that he does.  He currently is putting his toes in his mouth and rolling back to tummy! He has only done both a few times but he is getting close to doing it all the time I am sure!

Lately his routine has been a little different with me working.  Cory takes him to my parent's house or to my mom's work everyday around 8.  I pick him up at the end of the day at my parent's house around 3:45. My mom feeds him 2-3 bottles (sometimes she takes him down to me when I have an hour break to feed him.) Sometimes he naps, sometimes he doesn't and he gets plenty of play time!!

As of now he is eating about 7 times a day.  Once in the morning, 3 while I am at work, 3 when I get home.  He is super distracted when he eats now, pulls off to laugh or smile at me or look around the room.  He always wants to see the TV, or who walked in the door, or what is going on with that picture frame hanging on the wall.  I guess if he is happy, he is not hungry.

He has been sleeping 9-10~5-6am on the weekends he will take another nap with me until about 9am.  :) Although there are some nights where we are giving him his binky a lot and/or he wakes up squirming and jabbering but usually puts himself back to sleep.

He did that at 1am a few nights ago and this morning about 4:45am he was jabbering but rotated 360 degrees in his crib and then he fell back to sleep.  I was laughing watching him on the monitor as he grabs his pjs and puts them in his mouth and holds on to the crib rails.  Silly Boy!

I am sure his routine will change over the summer especially when we are on our trips!

I love our little happy baby 1 more day until I am home with him at last!!! Can't wait (although my first graders were really good this year)

I enjoy every minute of him and am just trying to soak it all in!!

Oliver also met a little friend this past weekend! Finally! Little Quinn is just the cutest and is 4 months older than Oliver.

Playroom Inspiration

I am very excited to start on Oliver's playroom this summer! It is upstairs in the loft perfect view from the craft room ;) It is going to be so much fun.  I am going to do a Disney theme and bright colors.  I will put some things in that are inexpensive and easy to change out as he gets older and/or we have a girl too.  It will probably be awhile before I have the finished product posted!

Cory will have some projects and so will I.

Now to decide what color to paint the room....

I want to eventually makeover our little play table from when I taught preschool to look like this.  Then Oliver can craft and color while I craft.  We can hang his art in the craft rom.

Cory will be building the magnetic board and bookshelves and the ruler growth chart.  I will be making the crafts and helping Cory!

Disney Obsession

I am obsessed with Disney, I have been since I was born basically.  I love Disney movies, Disneyland, and Disney everything.  That is part of the reason why I am going to do the kid's playroom Disney!

I feel like Cory and I are always like Oh we should see that movie! and then we never do or we forget so I am going to start compiling a list.  Mostly Disney, or kid's movies.  I can't help it I love them and plus they are short, less of a chance that I will fall asleep.  I will try to add other movies to the mix to as we think of them.

Of course we will eventually watch boy movies like zero dark thirty.   But for now Cory and I were thinking of just watching some Disney movies after Oliver goes to bed, if we are not too tired.

I was also thinking of just going through the entire list of Disney movies and watching them in order, but that would probably take years.... so maybe another time, first things first!

LAZY MONDAY

I took off of work today because little guy had to get his 4 month shots, poor baby!! I have also been battling a plugged duct since Saturday afternoon, and I think he finally got it out Monday morning before he had to go to the doctor.  I am hoping it is completely gone and does not come back.  I hate those things!! Last night I thought I felt another one coming on, and everything doesn't seem 100% but its much better for sure!!!

Here's Oliver before his shots.

LOVE HIM

Cute Work out outfit.

Poor boy all worn out after his shots.

Came across these ducks from when we were at the park a couple of weeks ago, cant help but think they are having a baby too LOL

Even Stella is enjoying her new dog bed!

Mother's Day

Last year Mother's Day was really special, I remember going to Maggianos with Cory and staying at Kierland before I was sick and before anyone knew I was pregnant, I was only about 5 and a half weeks a long and I was so excited to be a MOM,, Cory got me a locket which holds Oliver's fingerprints and some earrings as well.

Get ready for picture overload.... What a fun week Cory made it for me.  It started off on Monday where I had PJS in my pump bag that said, worth losing sleep over.  (Which ironically Oliver has been sleeping much better!)

On Tuesday he left some signs pictures below in my car.

On Wednesday he left a giftcard in my purse to Old Navy

On Thursday he told me we are going to Kierland in June to celebrate me being a stay at home mom!

On Friday he left more signs in my car.

On Saturday he got me flowers. We went to Serranos for lunch to celebrate with my mom.

On Sunday I slept in with Oliver (he slept in 3 days in a row for me until 9 or 10).  Cory brought me breakfast in bed and then we were going to go to Maggianos for lunch (but we are waiting until June because I had a really bad plugged duct) We were also going to get coffee and go for a walk but it was very windy.  So we got coffee, went to church, and then watched Frozen while eating subs.  I found a dead fly in my sub and flipped out, I scared poor Oliver and he started to cry.  Cory also got me some more gift cards, a Pandora bracelet bangle, another sign, chocolates, and a Disney CD to listen to in the car with Oliver!!

HE did TOO MUCH and was way over the top but I love him for it... and my oh my do I have a lot to do before Father's Day!

Oliver was so excited for Mother's Day LOL

I loved the gift bag!

He enjoyed helping me open my gifts.

I loved spending time with my little buddy all day!

Cory, made the board, not too bad!

Cards from Oliver, Cory, and all of our future babies. :)

Signs that were in my car.

WOW!! What a Week I had.  I was way to SPOILED. I am so blessed to be this little boy's mommy and am so happy to have such a loving husband who makes me feel appreciated each and everyday, I love you so much!! I was so excited to be a mom and to celebrate Mother's Day, but in all honesty I feel like everyday is Mother's Day when I have Oliver's sweet face smiling at me!
