Book Favorites

Ive been meaning to do a book post for a while now. Oliver is really into turning pages, looking at books, stacking books, and reading books with mom and dad.  We read to him every night and usually during the day too.  I love books and think a kid can never have too many.  We are doing a book exchange right now so I am excited to see what new books he gets. Some of Oliver's favorite books right now are as follows:

Oliver 18 months

I needed to do an update on Oliver because he changes so much day to day its crazy!!

Age:18 Months
Stats: 22 lbs (25th percentile), 31 inches (20th percentile)
Clothes: Still fitting into his 12-18 month clothes best, tshirts and shorts have become the easiest!

Favorite Foods: This kid loves a lot of food. Oatmeal, granola bars, cucumbers, pears, strawberries, blueberries, apples are his favs
Favorite Words: Momma, Dadda, Hot, march, get, uh-oh, stella, cracker. He loves to show us wear his belly button, eyes, nose, and hair are too!

Favorite Activities: Playing with Stella, he always has to say goodnight to her and loves when she comes busting in his room every morning.  He follows her and gets excited when she is around.  He loves to brush her and feed her every morning too.  Of course Stella loves all the scraps she gets. He is  a master organizer, he loves getting things out & putting them all back away. He is a big fan of stacking blocks, reading books, and getting into pantries, cabinets, and drawers.
Bath time is always a favorite, sometimes to make it even a little more fun we bring in bath crayons and blow bubbles!
He loves the pool and the splash pad. He loves to pour water in and out of containers.
He enjoys sidewalk chalk and we did shaving cream a few weeks ago and he loved.
He also likes to help make things lie pouring ingredients into bowls.  We just made him a helper stand. Cant wait to use it.
He likes his magnet doodle, instruments, and anything that makes noise ;)
He loves pushing carts around and putting things in them
He empties and reputs in laundry in the laundry basket

Least Favorite Activities: He hates getting his diaper changed and getting dressed.  He also does not like being contained in carseat, stroller, etc. for very long but what kid does? LOL

Signature Moves: He blows kisses, gives hugs and kisses to people and stuffed animals, gives high fives, and pounds.  He loves to dance to music, clap his hands, and do the more sign for everything!!! Also, the eyeroll he glares and does an eyeroll until you laugh.

Mom & Dad Proudest Moment: Had to take little guy to urgent care because we thought he swallowed a magnet, thank goodness he didnt!

Favorite age so far? I think so! I love the way he gives me hugs and kisses. I love taking him to places to explore and learn about his world.  He likes the dairy farm, zoo, and aquarium as much as I do! He is just the cutest cant wait to see him with his little brother or sister!

Flagstaff Fun

Hello Cooler Weather! I was so excited to get out of the damn heat and get to go to Flagstaff where it was 70 raining on and off and just felt glorious to be outside.  Yes we dorve 3 hours stayed 3 hours, and drove home but it was worth it.

We went to Bearizona where we got to see all kinds of animals wolves, bears, buffalo, and more as we drove through the park. Then we got to walk around another section of the park to see foxes, otters, baby cubs, and goats.  Oliver loved getting to be out of carseat while we drove through park.  Between looking out the window at animals, climbing everywhere, and searching for food he was in heaven.

Then we went to the Deer Farm where we fed deer, Oliver tried but he decided to eat the deer food instead.  We saw all kinds of animals there too.  It was a lot of fun.

Flagstaff is so green and smells like Christmas trees I love it!!

Here are a few pics. more pics are up on instagram and facebook :)

XOXO
