Spring had Sprung!

Well it has been officially spring here since lets say January! We did not have a cold winter at all, just in December and since then it has not gotten below 50! I love Arizona!!  Now that it is March, going into April and getting ready for the Easter season it feels much more like Spring.

Even the dog is having fun! Didn't Cory do a great job on the flowers this year, gernaiums really held up good this year compared to the petunias.  Before we know it, it will be time to plant the vencas.  Cory even planted rose bushes.  The other bushes just started getting flowers on them, they didn't last year because they froze and died.  So that was pretty neat to see.  We also threw seeds down and random fresh flowers come up so then Cory would always put them in a vase on the kitchen table, those wont be coming up until fall.

Cory said there has not been a day that we have lived in our house where there were not flowers of some kind.  I didn't not realize but now I am paying attention. Thanks Babe!

Today was nice I met with the moms group this morning, went to my work, blogged, and now it is time to wake Oliver up so I can feed him.  Then maybe off to Target, Victoria Secret to use my rewards cards, and possibly to Barnes and Noble for books and coffee if the boys are up to it!

For the rest of the week.... I do not know but I have lots in store!

Gallery Walls & More!

We have been busy hanging pictures of a family of 3 around the house.  I also have added a gallery wall in Oliver's room.  I still want to add photos of close ups of his feet, hands, and face but that's for later.  Here is what some of the walls look like!
Cory always tells me Love you More! The sign to the very right I Love you a Bushel and a Peck my grandpa sang to my mom and then my mom sang to me and of course now I sing it to Oliver.

Here's a look at his wall.

Look at those tiny prints!!

Family Room Wall- Stella is even included!

One of my fav pics!

Here is the shower curtain in Oliver's bathroom, I love it and it goes perfectly with the hungry caterpillar theme!

Finally hung this, I made it for Cory back in January of 2013.  It is all of the places we have gone together from Jan 2008-Jan 2013.
I also forgot Baltimore, we were there 2 weeks!!

Since 2013 we have been to Sint Maarten, and a new part in San Diego that we've never been to before.

Looking forward to the summer we are possibly going to Dallas & North Dakota

Oliver & I may go to St. Louis!

We have a friends wedding in Indiana but probably will not be able to make it with all of the family trips coming up!

Honored to be the Maid of Honor

A week ago I got a package in the mail, I opened it and it was this...

How Cute is this??? I love it!

I am so excited to be my very best friend Liz's maid of Honor! I never really thought that I would ever get to be a maid of honor except maybe if my sister asks me but she will not be getting married for a very long time!!

Anyways, Liz and I have been friends since we were 2 years old so for almost 25 years!! Crazy I know but what fun it is! She now lives in Minnesota so I do not get to see her much, but we talk on the phone lots and she has some upcoming visits to Phoenix for her shower and bach party.

I can not wait for her wedding, it is going to be in St. Thomas! Oh it will be so fun and I can  not wait to be there for my best friend!! By then Oliver will be over one, I should be done nursing, and Cory and I can stay a little longer to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary while Oliver stays with grandma and grandpa.

Can't wait for another picture like this but Liz will be in the wedding dress and we will be barefoot on the beach and then off to swim with the turtles and hanging out on a boat!!

Coffee & Cupcakes

We all know that Cory and I love cupcakes and coffee so we added some fun to our kitchen!! I am constantly making cupcakes (not so much in the last year due to sickness in pregnancy and a newborn) but I like making them and any sweets for that matter! Cory and I love coffee me for the taste Cory for the caffeine.  I got Cory a Starbucks Verismo for his birthday and he loves it and so do I! I did not think I would use it, but I certainly do! I think that we use this way more than we go get coffee now and I actually prefer it!

I am obsessed with fun paper straws right now!! These are leftover from Oliver's baptism party.

Gotta love Cory stocking up on syrup, Oh and he found gingerbread syrup but I will not be touching that until November- the kick off of Christmas season! :)

Terrible pic, it says Dear Coffee, I love you that is all.

Cory made the Chalkboard similar to the hallway chalkboard that tracked my pregnancy and now Oliver's first holidays and seasons.  I got all of the cupcake signs at Rod Works. Writing this post has put me in the mood to make cupcakes, maybe I will tomorrow!!

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

Better Late the Never!!

I absolutely love holidays even the small ones so I am having so much fun doing holidays with a new baby.  I can not wait until next year when he can eat all of the yummy treats and appreciate the fun activities more!

For breakfast the day before I made Cory and I green pancakes with whipped cream and lucky charms on top, now I am addicted to Lucky Charms but when that box is done no more until next year!!

Cory sent Oliver & I St. Paddy's day flowers the week before when he went back to work telling us that he misses being at home with us!

Seriously Mommy, must you dress me up all the time?

Mommy you are so funny!

Too big!

Can't get enough of his cuteness!!

Oliver's Day as a 2 month old

Oliver has kind of set his own routine these these past few weeks.  It is amazing how babies grow so fast and how they go from sleeping a lot to being more alert.  I am soaking every minute up of him.  We try to have him eat play sleep and it seems to be going well.

Here is what a typical day looks like:

Sometime between 6:30-8am he wakes up.  Of he wakes up on the earlier side, I will feed him and then try to put him back to sleep for another hour or two.  Sometimes I cuddle with him on the couch or in bed if he does not want to sleep. Other times we just get our day started! It all just depends.

Playtime & Tummy Time

Oliver naps in his swing or rock in play while I pump, shower, and eat breakfast.

Around 10am he wakes up and eats

Then we read books and play in his play yard until about 11:30

He naps in his swing until about 1:00

1:00 he eats again and then hang out in his bouncer and listen to music and do some more tummy time.

2:30- he goes down for another nap in his swing and then he eats around 4.

After he eats we have more tummy time, play, and sing songs.

He takes another nap around 5:30 when Cory is getting home from work.

At 7:00 Cory feeds him and plays with him.

At 8:00 we go for a walk while he sleeps in his stroller

Between 9-9:30 I feed him and then we do his bedtime routine which consists of changing him, giving him his vitamins, reading Goodnight Moon or Goodnight Missouri and saying our prayers.

By the time he actually goes to sleep it is usually closer to 11pm after we go in hum to him, rub his belly, and give him his binky.

Around 3-5am he will wake up to eat quick and then goes back to sleep.

I would say we have it pretty good, I can't complain about 6-7 hours a sleep on average a night.  It may not be straight through but I can only assume that it will continue to get better as he gets older (MAYBE) lol It is funny how someone who loves to sleep (ME) so much can get used to this amount of sleep.  This is nothing compared to the first 4-5 weeks where he would eat every 2-3 hours (a total of 12 times/day usually)

I love this little guy and can't wait to keep documenting how his routines change based on his growth and his needs.

Baby Boy's Baptism

What a wonderful weekend it was last week for Oliver's baptism.  We had lots of family in town to celebrate his special day! It was great spending time with Oliver's godmother ( my cousin) while she was in town, I wish she and her family lived closer so we could hang out more! Oliver did great the entire mass it was wonderful!

His little friend Ava even came!

Godfather sleeping on the job

He loves all of the attention!

Great for the whole Ahlemeier clan to be together

Loved his little outfit that his godmother got him.
