We had a fun last couple of weekends!
Last weekend we had birthday parties, spent a lot of time outside, and went to a swim meet to watch Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. We planted some flowers,
But the real highlight was Oliver's first trip to the emergency room!! AHHH he is totally fine but gave mom and dad a scare. He was walking on the carpet, fell, I heard his wrist crack, and then it was all bent weird. He cried, but was content in the car when we played SHake it off! By the time the doctor looked at it, it was totally fine, x ray-s looked good too so it must of got popped back into place.
The next weekend...
Saturday we went to the zoo. It was a nice cloudy day so it was not too hot. Oliver loved the birds especially the flamingos and monkeys. He also really noticed the animals a lot more this time. That kid just loves the outdoors. He ended up falling asleep so Cory and I finished walking around the zoo while he napped. We had some snacks and when he woke we took him to see the giraffes one more time. I am so happy I got a membership because now I can go as many times as I want, this summer it won't be very useful but after the summer it will. I will also get discounts on some other events, rides, and parties at the zoo.
After the zoo we got in and out and let Oliver play in the splash pad one last time before it gets fixed and the grass in our yard gets put in. It was cold so we went in. We went to church and then went for a wagon ride. Cory then planted some flowers.
On Sunday we went on a 6 mile walk to our favorite spot and got coffees. After lunch, I took Oliver to my parents and hung out while Cory did some projects. I made some taggy blankets at my parents. I have had a few sales in my etsy shop, but business is still slow. Its ok though because it is just for fun anyway!
I am going to be hosting a sprinkle shower for some friends who are having their second babies this fall. The shower will be in July and I can't wait. I am already pinning like crazy getting my ideas.
This is also random but I am contemplating writing a children's book. It was always a dream of mine to open a bookstore, so this will have to work for now. I love children's books, and hey if no one buys it at least I can add them to my children's library and gift them to friends! My kids will be like, "cool, mommy wrote a book!"
In other news, it is going to be hot before we know it so I am soaking in as much outdoor time now as I can with Oliver. Soon I will have to start scoping out splash pads and pools to go to this summer.
Cory and I have been staying busy starting on new projects and getting ideas for home projects.
