Cory and I's anniversary is the day before Valentines day, some people would think that's too much love at once, but I think it is quite fun!
This was our first anniversary as parents. Cory continues to amaze me, I told him we would just hang out and celebrate with a dinner later when we were ready to leave Oliver with my mom. Oliver would not go back to sleep after I fed him at 6am, he says, "first gift you can sleep in and I'll take Oliver down stairs. Then about 8am Oliver was hungry again. I laid in bed with him and fed him and snuggled with him. Cory then went to like 3 places and brought me flowers and breakfast in bed (coffee, eggs, bacon, pancakes, muffins) .... Holy COW I could not eat all of that. Then later he got me some gifts (lots of home décor- which I will post later when I hang it up) which I loved and a coral purse perfect for spring and summer. I have to say he knows my taste very well. In the card he gave me he said be ready at 6pm. Reservations are at 6:15. Oliver was sleeping so I got ready and then Oliver woke up at 5:30 and was hungry. I fed him thinking no big deal if we are late for reservation, Oliver comes first. Infants do not take 15 minute to eat so we didn't end up leaving until 6:15. We were in traffic the entire way and we were heading toward a town where there is nothing so I was a little confused by what restaurant we were going to. We arrived at Serranos my favorite Mexican food that I hated while I was pregnant. He got it to go and then we continued to drive out to the middle of no where. I was like, "Cory it is dark and cold (65 degrees) and we are by the mountains." I am not sitting in dirt with Oliver so we can get stung by scorpions and attacked by coyotes. LOL We arrived after about 20 min of driving through dirt up a mountain. He parked the car and had me close my eyes. Then he had Christmas lights lit up all over the car, blankets, pillows, and our food in the trunk. He told me we were supposed to watch the sunset but we missed that by about 30 min. We were going to eat, and I was like "What's with the random In N Out Van, it kind of makes me nervous since we are in the middle of no where." Cory was like its fine and then 2 min later says I am going to turn the car around so I can watch the van. I was like lets just go. We went to another place to eat outdoors so we wouldn't have to drive all the way home and our food get cold. We got all set up and there was no silverware in the to go bag. We ended up having to go home, we scarfed our food down, and then little buddy was done napping in his car seat and ready to eat! Oliver then went to sleep at 9:30 and slept until 2. :) I tried to get him to sleep again and he was wide awake. Cory yet again said gift 5, go to sleep I will stay awake with him. What a guy! I owe him! It will be an anniversary to remember.
Also, I made Cory this cuddle for 2 basket complete with 2 movies, a candle, bottle of wine, blanket, and music.
Valentine's Day~
We had a pretty ordinary lazy day hanging out with our favorite. We ended up having a festive fondu dinner. We did not have time for the dessert (chocolate fondu) we are going to try to have that tonight. Cory got me some movies and more home décor and candy! Oliver got me an O charm for my Pandora bracelet that I Can not find!!! It is driving me nuts. Thank God insurance covers it. You know me and my home made gifts, I made Cory a restaurant passport to different places all over town. We are going to try to complete it in 2 years, it may take longer though! Oliver also made him this cute card. Oliver's first craft with his mama in the craft room.
Can't forget this little cutie!!
He loved his 1st Valentines Day. :)
That's all XOXO
