As soon as I found out I was pregnant my cousin Jenny said, "I am throwing a shower for you!" This was so nice of her and it was a great way to make an excuse to go to St. Louis to see family. We flew in late Thursday night, I had a whole freaking row on the plane to stretch out which was awesome! When we got in we stopped at my grandmas to say hi to her Aunt Bea and Aunt Anne, then we headed to Mary and Jimmy’s. We stayed up and talked with them and the kids, and met their cute little dog Dewey.
The next day we went to my grandma’s and had steak and shake. Lots of aunts and cousins came over to say hi. Cory and I then went for a walk and drove around town. Later a big group of us went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Dinner with our family is party of 25 minimum! It was so fun, we had a private room. By the end of the day I finally got to meet the 7 children of my cousin’s that I have not met. Since May 2010 4 of my cousins had babies! Cory and I then drove to see our friends that I used to babysit for. They lived down the street from my Aunt and Uncle so it was very convenient.
The next day was shower day! Jenny did an awesome job with all of the food and decorations. I loved it! I was very spoiled by all of our family. After the shower I went to my cousin Kelly’s and hung out with her, Maggie, and Kelly’s kids. Later we all went back to my aunt and uncles for a big dinner and gathering. It was a lot of fun catching up with everyone! I stayed up until 1:30am! The next day we went to my grandmas to say good bye to everyone and then it was off to the airport. It was a great trip, I love going to St. Louis to see my family.
