Making Sunnyvale Ours: Baby Moon

This past weekend we went to California for 3 days and 2 nights for a little baby moon. Cory and I love to travel so we are going to keep traveling after we have the baby and our other children. Sometimes alone and sometimes with the little ones, but we know it will be tough the first year to get anywhere to crazy, so we thought of going to Cali for a last hoorah! (for now anyways) It is kind of like a 3^rd baby moon in a way because we went to Disneyworld, the Caymans, the Virgin Islands in 2012 and then we went to Sint Maarteen in 2013 before we got pregnant.

Anyways…. We drove to San Diego on Saturday and then met up with Raquel a college friend for dinner at a pizza place. Afterwards I was so tired (shocker!) that we went to bed. The next day we went to La Jolla had breakfast and walked around the shops. I got a cute belt to show off my bump these next few months. We went to the coves and saw the seals and hiked around. It was beautiful! I did not know that they had clear water beaches in Cali. We forgot to get sand! (Cory and I have little jars of sand from every beach/place we have been to). Then we headed to Del Mar for lunch. We had Mexican and I had a virgin margarita, it was yummy! Then we walked to the beach and played scrabble. We checked into the hotel (U.S. Grant) and then went shopping in the Gaslamp District. I got some hot chocolate at Ghirardelli. We got back to the hotel, I loved this hotel! We showered and then I was too tired to get ready and go out to eat so we ordered Yard House and ate in bed while we watched the office! I waked a total of 6 miles including hiking and hills! The next day, we went over to the Gaslamp area again and had breakfast at Starbucks. We went shopping and I got lots of maternity clothes at Gap! Then we had lunch and went back to the hotel to pack. Cory and our little boy surprised me with a massage before the car ride home. It was relaxing! Then the drive back was kind of tough, I was tired and sore! But we made it and we had lots of fun! Road trips are always fun especially when you are pregnant and you can stretch out in the backseat of the car!

Bonus! Since we stayed at 2 different hotels, we only need 2 more stays by the end of the year to stay gold members for next year. I think we will do this. J
