I had a wonderful Christmas, although I am sad that it is now over. Every year I get this way, when I turn on the radio on the 26th and the continuous Christmas music has stopped, when the stores are setting up Valentines Day things, when people are turning off there lights and taking decorations down. I think Christmas is not truly over until the 6th of January "The Epiphany" and I believe the Christmas magic should continue until then.
This year is a little different for us too, we are going to be taking down the decorations this weekend to get ready for the baby. Otherwise it may be February or March before we have time to take them down.
Christmas Eve was spent at family friends house where we had spaghetti and then went to church at 9pm with my family. We went back to my parents and exchanged gifts which resulted in pregnant lady not getting to bed until almost 1am.
Christmas morning I woke up at 8:30 and we laid in bed for a while before we went downstairs to exchange gifts, I can't wait to see our little boy next year on Christmas morning!! Then we made cinnamon rolls and an egg bake and my mom, brother, and sister came over (my dad had to work). Then I took a nap while trying to watch Christmas vacation. When I woke up, Cory had surprised me with a peppermint mocha Christmas frap. Yummm :) Then we went to my parents and we had dinner and played some catch phrase.
Afterwards we went and explored some more lights, got home pretty late and tried to watch Christmas Vacation again. I was beginning to freak out about giving birth I was probably just tired, sad Christmas was over, and freaking out since the baby will be here so soon!!! I am very excited to meet the baby and hold the baby I am just scared for the actual labor and delivery. Some days I am like "I got this" other days I am in pure panic. But I guess that is how everyone is so I will just leave it up to God.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!!
