Gender Reveal Party

We were so excited to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. It was great to see little baby on the ultrasound again, it had been 10 weeks! The ultra sound tech put the gender in an envelope and we took the envelope to party city.  We decorated a box and told her to put pink or blue balloons inside of the box and then to seal it.  She told us to come back in like 5 min.  When we came back, 25 min. later there were BLUE balloons everywhere. So we found out in the middle of party city! We were already meeting a friend at Tempe Town Lake to take the pictures, so we went anyway and got some pictures! We called Cory's parents and Aunt Liz and told them we were having a boy!

The next day we brought blue cookies to work announcing that we were having a boy.  After work we got all ready for the gender reveal party.  No one knew, except Sarah who took our picture.  We had a bunch of pink and blue goodies for everyone to enjoy.  As people came in we had them put a pink or blue clip on their shirt to cast their vote.  It was about half and half at the party, but not at the party everyone swore I was having a girl even my doctors. As soon as everyone got there we went in the front yard and drew 8 people out of a hat.  The lucky 8 were (mom, mark, molly, pat, Leanne, Bianca, matt, Julie) They sprayed us with silly string and that is how everyone found out!  My dad was notified via text because he had to work.

I immediately then texted my family in St. Louis and told them the news.

I am so excited to be a mom to our little baby boy!!

Cory sent me these quotes, I thought they were sweet.

"So there's this boy, he kind of stole my heart, he calls me 'mom'."

"Men are what their mothers made them"

"Little hands and little feet, Little toothless grins so sweet, Little eyes that shine so bright,Little arms to hug you tight - Everythings little except your joy when you have a new baby boy."

"A boy's best friend is his mother."

"Dreams really do come true. Ours came wrapped in Baby Blue!"

"My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it."
-- Mark Twain

"There never has been, nor will there ever be, anything quite so special as the love between a mother and a son."

I found this one...
"You'll be his first kiss, first love, first friend. You are his mommy and he is your whole world."
